![]() The Blackbird reminds me of the old British made MG sports cars. I've had no problem with the UMAREX EBOS and the only problem I've had with the Steel Storm is that I found that I have to shoot some airsol oil down the barrel once in a while to keep the firing pin valve from sticking closed. The big difference here is that the UMERAX machine guns cost about one third that of the Blackbird. But in all fairness, UMERAX has the same attitude once the gun is out of warranty. So if the gun poops out or breaks your supposed buy another gun. Another negative to this brand of gun is the fact that even though the gun is quite serviceable by the gun owner, I'm told by DROZED MAX that the parent company of the mfg has the opinion that this gun does not provide enough volume of sales by compairsion to their other firearms products to warrant providing replacement parts to their distributors. The cons to the Drozed Blackbird are that there's a rather large and long Co2 tube in the magazine so if you use the stock method of powering it (12g or 88g Co2 cartridge) it wastes a lot of Co2 just getting the gas to the barrel and you run out of gas quite fast. The plastic seams on the UMERAX are like a plastic squirt gun where the Blackbird seams fold one half under the other half to give it a more professional build appearance. I can't say the plastic used in it is of any better quality then what UMERAX uses, but the way that the plastic parts are designed gives the Blackbird a higher quality look to it. The pros to this gun is that it's fairly easy to take apart to fix and all the neat options you can buy for it. This would explain one reason I've read where a lot of people have gone to high pressure air systems. It seemed to work more reliably as I continued to shoot it but then the gun started to freeze up from the large release of Co2 due to the continuous fire from the full auto mode. When I received it back, I tried it and when I pulled the trigger the motor in the magazine would work properly now but, the solenoid that hits the Co2 valve at first only worked sporadically. Before he sent it back I had him install a full auto chip. I sent it back and the seller was able to repair it. The second one I ordered from a differant seller DROZED MAX. ![]() ![]() ![]() The first Blackbird I ordered had a bunch of Co2 leaks and I sent it back. I can't say I would recommend this BB machine gun over the UMERAX EBOS or the UMERAX STORM. ![]()
